Maho Bay

In the fresh, ocean air, headed to St. John.
The ocean view from a pavilion at Maho Bay Camps, where we stayed.
Home, sweet home.

One of the boys' favorite pass-times other than the beach: collecting hermit crabs.
A little history with a hike to the nearby remains of an old sugar cane plantation.
Daniel wasn't shy about the ocean, or the camera.

Some days were a little too much fun in the sun for Chase.
No fear about our new friends, the iguanas.
Favorite beach snack was definitely the hot dog, followed by smoothies.
No one could get enough of silly, Auntie Jen.
Thanks, Pop Pop, for a memorable trip to St. John.

That looks like so much fun. I love the sleeping quarters.

We had a great time. The lack of water and restroom in our bunks, cooking on a propane stove, and bucket baths for the boys made it that much more of an adventure to remember.
It's a good reminder that getting back to the basics aint so bad. In fact, it's pleasant.
