Trip East July 2012

The adventure came alive for the boys on DIA's moving walkway.
There was much to celebrate when we got to NY, including birthdays for Nanny, Nonna, Jenny and Chase. Funny. Daniel was the one to blow out our pretend candles.
Do we need to mention that Auntie Jenny and Daniel made cupcakes? Or is that a given?
 Such happy, chocolate cupcakes!
Lots of fun on the Lake with a some special motor boats from Keith and Eileen.
Although entertaining, it was a mistake to feed the ducks in the park. They chased Daniel (with no food in hand) for a few hundred yards before giving up.
We thought it was hot in Denver. You add humidity and it is too hot to not have a sprinkler. Good call, Nonna.
Marie Nappe, the matriarch of the Nappe family. Sometimes she is as silly as the boys are.
Yes. That's Daniel on a moped, not an over-sized bobble head. Oh, the fun he had!
What? Choo-choo's on vacation! Awesome!
Working in Pop-Pop's workshop was one of the highlights of the trip.
Guess who made his own swing?
After being with the chickens, being outside doing anything and everything were Chase' favorite activities.
A little reunion for Angie with some of her best friends from high school.
Daniel worked on his golf swing, and driving a golf cart.
Daniel also learned a little something about cribbage.
We also tried purple cotton candy ice cream for the first time.
Best family shot in 100-degree weather (with humidity) in the midst of saying goodbyes.

Chase' Favorite Things: 10 1/2 months

Chase, you are growing fast. These last few months you have started enjoying more foods, started using new words, and are trying all types of new activities - we think you will even be walking in a matter of weeks. Here are a few of your favorite things.

1. The bath/shower, still.
2. Your brother, always.
3. Bananas
4. Talking ("Daniel" and "Down" were your first words).
5. Playing with cars (your version of "vroom-vroom" included).
6. Going up, and now down, the stairs.
7. Playing pass.
8. Pulling the toilette paper off its roll.
9. Your family
10. The sandbox.

Farmer Chase

"Knee high by the fourth of July?" Whose knee are we measuring by?
