My friend Ashley is a talented word artist, known on Etsy, and starting in May some of her work will be found at Papyrus. She has a whole selection of cards and prints on her website.
I have chosen to show you all this cute creation because it reveals the latest news at the Hendricks Home.

Tucson
Inspired by two toy monster trucks Daniel received for his birthday last April, we took a trip to Tucson last weekend. The vacation was a long time in the making, and as you can see in these photos, lots of fun for all. Thank you for hosting, grandpa Tiger and Grandma Heidi. Megs and Trav, you guys were icing on the cake!
All tuckered out after the monster truck rally.
Desert museum - play time!
Of course, some fun in the pool.

Like Mother Like Son
Daniel has taken a liking to photography. After receiving a great point-and-shoot Sony camera for Christmas, Daniel has been documenting his life, taking pictures of everything from Christmas ornaments, to his toys, to foods he's eating. He has also used his parents and Chase as his subject matter.
It's exciting when your child develops an interest or characteristic that mimics your own. I have long been an avid photographer and hope Daniel will find creative expression in this art on his own, too.
Here's to you, Mister "Picture Taker!"

Chase Starts Preschool
Really?
Already?
A few weeks ago Chase told me he no longer wanted to accompany me to the gym M/W/F mornings, and he would rather go to "gool." It hasn't taken Chase long to adjust to his new environment. As I expected he is comforted knowing Daniel is just down the hall, and he holds tightly to the love and compassion his teacher Miss Rena offers him each morning.
